- There is no such thing as Declaration money -- somebody is trying to scam you into sending money. This question is asked all the time. Call the Ghanan embassy in your country who will confirm there is no such requirement. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090304205238AAolcOZ http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20100509111813AAtuU1t http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081008204354AAxxbmX http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080414010242AA2z8WS http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20091207081922AAb5nSC http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081124105259AAUyfbN Cut off all contact with this person as they've been lying to you about everything
- No, all you need to fly out of or through Ghana is a passport and flight ticket. The declaration fee is something made up by scammers. Unfortunately Ghana is now one of the big countries for sweetheart scams, setting up fake profiles on dating sites, promising to love you after a few days, then asking you to send money. These are all 'sakawa' boys sitting in internet cafes in Accra copying profiles of innocent people off other dating sites and conning other people out of their money. The real person in the picture you were sent doesnt even know their pictures or identity are being used in this scam
