US Airways Reservations

US Airways Reservations Knowledge Base

does anybody know where the US Airways reservations center is located?? I mean the place where when you call US airways they answer. I know it used to be in Pittsburgh but a few years back they moved it.
Anyone work for US Airways, particularly for Reservations? I need to know if W2 have been sent out yet, I moved to another state and am anxiously awaiting and don't always get me mail here...and if I do it akes a week or more! Yes I'm being impatient, just curious if they have been sent out yet.
How do I change my flight reservation through US Airways? I have my reservation already but i want to change the date from dec. 18 to dec 23. I am sure i will just have to call and talk to someone. does anyone know what kind of fees i will be charged and how much they are?
What does it cost on US Airways if I want to change my flight reservation? I've decided to stay in my destination for longer than I anticipated...how much does it cost to modify my reservation to leave at a later date (US Airways)? Thanks
Why did I get upgraded on a US Airways flight? In early June, I purchased a one-way ticket on US Airways from their website. On the day of the flight, I used their website to check in, and it told me I was eligible for an upgrade, so I accepted. This was a free upgrade, and I was able to pick a first class seat for my boarding pass. The mystery is that I have not flown on US Airways before, and it has been a long time since I flew on America West, which is now owned by US Airways. I doubt there are enough America West miles kicking around to make me worthy of an automatic upgrade. When I asked someone at the service counter, they looked at my record and did not see anything obvious that would explain why I was offered an upgrade. So, there are a few questions here: 1. Has this exact situation on US Airways happened to anyone else? 2. Any guesses as to why their reservations site did this? 3. Since I won't know if I'll be upgraded until I check in online the day of the flight, should I try this again to see what happens? I should mention that I provided my America West frequent flier number when I booked the reservation.
I made separate plane reservations (2 segments, 1 trip). How can I make my bags transfer over? I made a U.S. Airways reservation from the west coast to LAX. Then I made a separate reservation for a few hours later on Hawaiian Airlines from LAX to HNL. It was cheaper to do it this way. When I check in, can I just tell the U.S. Airways people to transfer the bags to Hawaiian when I get to LAX? Or do I need to go claim my bags and recheck them? I'd hate that, because I'd need to go outside security. So, I guess I'm asking if US Airways can just mark the bags as having HNL as their ultimate destination and skip the whole baggage claim/recheck thing in LAX?
Will I get a FULL refund from US Airways for a reservation cancellation? My mom booked my returning flight back to college two days before the dorms open (1/08) so I want to change it to the 10th. There is a $150 change fee for doing this, so instead I want to try canceling the entire reservation and rebooking it with the refund credit. The departure flight is still available for the same price, and the new returning flight is also the exact same price as the one I have now. So will I have to pay anything? Paid $227.40 roundtrip for the flights, the new reservation is $227.40 as well. Will I be able to cancel/make a new reservation (essentially swap) without paying anything? Airline is US Airways and it is a domestic flight
Will US Airways new baggage policy affect me? I am traveling from Charlotte to Frankfurt, Germany. I will have a stopover at Philadelphia and I am traveling after May 5. Now, can I have a second checked in bag free on my flight from Charlotte to Philly? I made one single reservation for my flights. Can someone who knows better tell me? I asked the US airways toll free but they don't seem to understand my case, their website also does not make this point clear.
ATTN: Would you still fly US Airways or British Airways? TO ALL MILITARY AND FREQUENT FLYERS! I have never had so much trouble with an airline before. US Airways has made me never want to travel by air again. We are a United Sates military family living abroad so you'd think they be more than willing to assist us to get home; unfortunately that was not the case. My husband Justin and I were in the process of completing our overseas adoption when my husband had to return to work in Italy. We decided to meet up in Rome, Italy on the 17th of December once the adoption process was completed so we purchased round-trip tickets from Rome, Italy to Orlando, Florida; however, due to a family emergency in Florida I had to leave overseas with my adopted son much earlier than anticipated. I was sure to call US Airways and British Airways to notify them that my son and I would not be able to make the flight from Rome, Italy to Orlando, Florida due to a family emergency. The representative I spoke with completely understood our situation, and verbally told us there would be no problem on any of our round-trip booking. On December 17th my husband checked into his flight without any questions or concerns from the representatives at check-in. A few days before our departure flight from Orlando, Florida we realized that our adopted sons name was misspelled on the itinerary. We decided the proper action would be to call the airline and let them know that the first letter in his last name was misspelled. The representative placed us on hold as she looked up our reservation. Once she took us off of hold she told us that my son Anas and I had lost our booking due to the fact that we were a, 'no show' in Rome, Italy for our departure. My immediate question was, "who canceled my sons and my flight?" She didn't even know the answer so she transferred me to her supervisor. The supervisor told us that once we don't show up for the first part of a round-trip ticket that it would automatically cancel out the family members that were 'no shows.' That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. I was given no notification or anything about this. I should have been notified by phone or email at least. So now like I said I was but only a few days from the departure flight and only my husband could fly home. I found all the representatives and supervisor we spoke with very unhelpful about our situation. The supervisor told us that regardless of my sons name change we would still have to purchase a separate ticket to replace it because we misspelled his name. The cost of this alone was $250.00. Before I would suck it up and just purchase a different ticket for him on the same date, I wanted to know how much it would cost us to put me back onto the flight. US Airways wanted to charge me almost $6,000.00 for a ticket which I had already paid for! I needed to fly home with my husband because we all had to report back to base by January 6th no later than 11:59 P.M. The representative then told me he would look for a different date return ticket for my son and I after I already told him that I needed a ticket to get home on the same flight/same day as my husband. Even with the different flight/different day US Airways still wanted around $2,000.00 for just my son and I to fly home. I told the supervisor to cancel all of our tickets, but who knows if he actually did. I ended up booking a completely different flight through a different airline as well. I paid $2,000.00 for all three of us to go onto the same flight, and let me tell you.... that was the best flight I have ever been on. I really would like my money back, and not a credit of $250.00 like I was told by the representative. I will never fly US Airways or British Airways.
Does anyone have any experience with flying with a pet on US Airways? I have a young dachshund that I am thinking of flying from Georgia to Arizona with me to visit some family. Does anyone have any experience with US Airways and flying with pets? I've been looking online and their website says they allow pets in the cabin as long as they have a carrier that meets the requirements, does anyone have any certain carriers that you would recommend for a young dachshund? I was looking at Sherpa carriers and they seem suitable but I was just looking for some input. Also, I couldn't find on US Airways' website if they required a reservation to have a pet fly in the cabin with you. If anyone could help me out with some information it would be greatly appreciated.
US Airways worst airline ever? Bad mishaps with US AW? Is flying USAW going to ruin starting of my vacation? I just had a friend who flew with US Airways with a baby and she said it was the worst airline she had ever been with. She said that she accidentally booked wrong date and after making about 8-9 phone calls to customer service, they gave her credit and told her she could make another reservation. When she tried to make the reservation, they charged her $100 changing fee (costs as much as the ticket $110). She said that she was never informed of that and she asked to change it back to old date but they wouldn't do it without charging her $100 again. Also, at the gate, they charged her extra $35 for storing the baby's stroller on the plane. On top of that, the airline "accidentally" sold her ticket to someone else so she didn't have a seat on airplane. She was asked to wait for the next flight to see if there were empty seats on that plane. She fought and lucking some gentleman gave up his seat for her. I'm flying to Las Vegas and don't want to ruin my vacation, should I take US Airways?
Has anyone had a problem with US Airways asking you to sign up for a credit card before purchasing a flight? I tried to purchase an airline ticket from USAirways.com. I thought I had purchased a ticket two months ago. However, when I called them to confirm this morning, they had no record of my purchase. I was very puzzled. I purchased another ticket and after I clicked the button marked "purchase", I was redirected to another screen that asked me to sign up for a US Airways credit card. In order to purchase my ticket, I had to either sign up for or decline the credit card. Only in very small print at the top of the page did it say "Click a button below to complete your ticket purchase. Closing this window will cancel your reservation". I realized then that the reason I did not have my previous reservation is that I had encountered this screen before and had not understood from the fine print that it was a barrier to purchasing a ticket. The original cost of my ticket two months ago was $153. Today, it was around $600. I had to buy two tickets, one for myself and one for my husband. So, in addition to feeling like a fool, I ended up paying a premium of $350 because US Airways duped me into thinking that I had purchased a ticket when I had not. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
I have a baby traveling with me on a plane bu on the reservations he didnt show up? i booked a flight for 1 adult and two children and one infant as a lap child. He didnt show up on my reserevations list in my us airways account. Will he still be able to travel with me wheni check in at the airport?
Need help with Us Airways travel credit, non-refundable ticket? I purchased e-ticket through Cheaptickets website www.cheaptickets.com. I was planning to be on my summer vacation from Los Angeles to Orlando on June 17th. Someone entered my account and cancelled my ticket for no reason. I had to call Cheaptickets customer service to ask why my ticket was cancelled. They said they configured why the ticket was cancelled. I was the one who cancelled. I told them It wasn't me. They couldn't do anything to reset the old reservation numbers. They told me to pay change fee over 150 dollars. I am not accepting this because it is not my fault that I cancelled the ticket. I don't know how it happened. They won't refund this credit back to my credit card. I don't want to pay $150 change fee that I didn't do. They will keep my future travel credit when I have a plan to fly in future. I don't have any plans and is there any way I can get the credit back instead of 150 dollars change fee? Can I sell this credit or not? Tell me how I can do. It will be very much appericated if you help me with this. Many thanks!
I have made a one way ticket reservation to india via kuwait airways. How can I make it a 2 way ticket? I wanted to return to US via europe. Now I have cancelled that plan and I want to convert this ticket to a two way ticket. My agent is refusing to do that. What can I do?I will lose a lot of money if I buy another one way return ticket.
Changing last minute plane tickets.....? Is it possible to change plane reservations for US Airways last minute? Does it cost anything extra and how do we contact the company to change the flights. My flight is for today and i want to stay another week.
Can an airline change flights and add a connection to my paid reservation? I paid for an international trip with US Airways. They notified me there was a problem, and that I had to call. Now the person on the phone tells me that a flight has been cancelled and they would reroute me using one more connection. (San Diego -> Phoenix -> Charlotte -> Frankfurt -> Nice, how fun is that?) Can I ask for a full refund since they changed my plans and I would never have booked a trip with 3 connections! Flight is non refundable. Thanks!! I'm on the phone with them right now... seem to be offering a refund....but without fees?? YES, they offered me a full refund without fee! Very nice! They confirmed me that since the change was on their side, they allowed me to be totally refunded. I don't need new answers, but I won't delete the question, can be useful in the future
which online reservation services lets you book two separate airlines? okay I would like to go from Los Angeles to Charlotte on US airways but return on American which online reservation system will allow me to do this? (IE travelocity, hot wire, expedia, or orbitz? (other then going to each airllines website serparlety?)_ (as i thinjk that way would be more expensive)
Issue with Retained Flight Ticket Value? Last year, I booked a US Airways economy flight through a travel agency called vayama. I had to cancel the reservation for some reason. Vayama said they won't retain any of the ticket value when I called them, so i called the US Airways and they canceled my reservation and told me i could use the retained value within one-year time frame. When I tried to rebook a flight today, vayama and US Airways both denied they had my ticket value. Vayama said that I need to contact US Airways because that's where I made my cancellation, but US Airways told me to call vayama because that's where I booked my reservation and they don't have any of my ticket value currently. What should I do? I don't think any of them are lying, but where would the ticket value be if neither of them has it? Thanks! Dear Trailblazer, Thank you for responding. My ticket was indeed non-refundable, but I was told by US Airways, more than once, that the value was retained. When I called them today, they said their system showed that the value was retained, but they didn't see where the value was. Dear Servette, Thank you very much for your advice. My ticket value has not expired yet. I called US Airways today and they confirmed that the value expires on the 13th of this month. The problem right now is that US Airways says they don't have any of the value because the flight was booked through another agency, so I need to contact the agency for any changes(well, other than cancellation)
time limit on changing flight...? I read on cheapticket that you are able to change flight after ticket are issued depend on which plane company you will be flying. FROM CHEAPTICKETS.COM Is there a time limit on changing a flight? American Airlines: If an American passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Tickets must be reissued and travel must commence within one year of the date the original ticket was issued. Continental Airlines: If a Continental passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. United: If a United passenger with a non-refundable ticket wants to exchange a ticket, he or she will have a full year from the date their original ticket was issued to reschedule without losing the value of their tickets, provided they cancel their reservations prior to their scheduled departure time. Airline re-scheduled/canceled flight, anything I can do? I was scheduled to make a flight with US Airways leaving at 5:45 AM, making a 40-minute layover, and arriving at my destination at 1:19 PM. I've had these reservations since 2/20. I was just called yesterday by the travel agency letting me know that US Air changed their schedule, making it impossible for me to make my connecting flight. They told me I could either cancel for a refund or change to a flight that left at 12:25 AM and still got there at the same time, with a 4-hour layover somewhere else. Those are TERRIBLE times for us, especially since we live 3-1/2 hours from the airport and I don't do well without sleep. When I looked into getting a refund and re-booking with another airline, the tickets have now DOUBLED. We can't change or cancel our reservations as we are staying at a resort. Do I have any options here? If I contact US Airways, is there any chance they'd give me an upgrade or discount on a future flight or anything else I can do? Also, the flight isn't leaving until June so there's no way it was canceled due to weather and the cost was $940 (2 tickets); now the going rate for 2 tickets is over $1800.
Will my customers be able to use their plane tickets? I purchased plane tickets for some customers to attend a convention in Houston. Some of the guys I bought tickets for I know as Chuck, Mike and Jim. One of them called me after receiving their tickets to let me know their given names were actually Charles (Chuck), Brian (Mike is his middle name) and James (Jim). This never even occurred to me when I bought the tix!! Now I am all freaked out that they will not be able to use their tickets, or even worse, they could use them to get to Houston but would not be able to get back. I have called Orbitz (where I bought the tickets) and of course they said I would have to cancel them and buy new ones, which means I am out over $1,000. I also called US Airways (the carrier) and she noted on my reservation the correct names, but could not change or guarantee that they would be allowed to fly. Any ideas what else I could do or should I just quit stressing and hope it will not be an issue? I have also thought about sending a notarized letter with them stating their given names and nicknames.
Any airline experts out there? I booked my flight and vacation 3 weeks ago for April 27th- May 1st.... On US Airways and now I wish I would of made it for an extra day to the 2nd of May... These are non refundable tickets and it stinks because the price of the tickets dropped $500 since I made my reservation. 1. How can I talk US into letting me change to the next day (which I checked and they have many available flights), without charging me an arm and a leg to do so. 2. How can I get the newer less expensive rate or credits towards a future flight?? Or if anybody could direct me to somewhere I might find any type of suggestions. Thanks!!
The worst airline? What is the worst airline you've ever used? For me it's US Airways...they stranded us in Charlotte and refused to pay for a hotel room for the night, even though we missed our connection due to the fact the plane had to divert to another airport because someone miscalculated and didn't get enough fuel in DC. They also "lost" our reservation on the way back from that trip and we had to spend over an hour arguing with the people at the check in counter to get on the plane.
travel agent messed up on name international? okay I am two weeks away from traveling to cancun for a wonderful vacation and have had no problems up until this point. Have booked my vacation through bookit.com and everything seemed fine when looking at the reservation on there website. Upon entering my confirmation number for us airways I noticed my name said Lll at the end of it as I am a third. The reason i didnt see this on bookits comfirmation page is because it used all lowercases lll and made me feel that this lll was the same as a capital iii or III. What should I do?
Is there a carrier that I can buy from PetSmart or online? Okay, I’m taking my dog with me to the airport. My puppy is going to fly with me to California to visit my parents. I book a reservation, and everything that is required for taking my pet flying from Texas to California. Except, I need a carrier. Requirement for the carrier is: Approved Carriers US Airways accepts hard-sided carriers up to 17 inches long x 16 inches wide x 8 inches tall and soft-sided carriers up to 17 inches long X 16 inches wide X 10 inches tall on all flights. Carriers must be leak-proof and escape-proof. Carriers must be ventilated on at least two sides, but not allow any part of the animal to protrude outside of the container. Carriers must provide room for the animal to stand up and turn around. Carriers can be made of the following materials: metal, wood or hard plastic/composite. Exceptions are made for soft-sided containers made specifically for pet carriage. How in the world am I going to find that? How does it look like? Where can I buy it?
edit my essay please??? Related to harper lee and To Kill a Mockingbird!? Nelle Harper Lee: A great book with the name of To Kill a Mockingbird awakens our imagination and enlarges our humanity. The talented author by the name of Harper Lee is an American writer considered by many to be a literary icon. Nelle Harper Lee was born in April 28, 1926 in Monroeville, Alabama. Her parents were Amasa Coleman Lee and Frances Cunningham Finch Lee. The youngest of four children, she grew up as a tomboy in a small town. Her father was a lawyer, a member of the Alabama state legislature, and also owned part of the local newspaper. For most of Lee’s life, her mother suffered from mental illness, rarely leaving the house. It is believed that she may have had bipolar disorder. Lee’s mother died when Lee was 25. She wrote a few magazine essays after Mockingbird was published, but another novel has never yet appeared under her byline. She studied Law at the University of Alabama. Later, in 1950, Harper Lee moved to New York City where she was employed for several years in the reservations department of an international airline and British overseas airways. When friends offered to lend her enough money to write Breen 2 Full-time for a year, she quit her job and penned the first draft, To Kill a Mockingbird. In addition to her novel, she wrote a few short essays devoted to Alabama history. President Johnson named Lee to the National Council of Arts in June 1966, and since then she has received numerous Honorary doctorates. In 1957, she submitted her manuscript to a publishing house and began a two-year process of revision. After Harper Lee’s book was accepted for publication, she accompanied her childhood friend Truman Capote to Kansas to assist him with research and interviews for his book In Cold Blood, which he dedicated to her. In her last interview, in 1964, Lee said she had "never expected any sort of success with Mockingbird", and that she was having a difficult time writing her next novel. Lee Harper’s Novel was awarded Pulitzer Prize in 1961. “To Kill a Mockingbird” is a rare American novel that can be discovered with excitement in adolescence and reread into adulthood without fear of disappointment. Lee tells two deftly paired stories set in a small town; one focused on lawyer Atticus Finch’s defense of an unjustly accused man. The first plot tells the story of Boo Radley, who is generally considered deranged, and the second concerns Tom Robinson. Although her first novel gained a huge success, Lee didn’t continue her career as a writer. In 2007, Lee was awarded the presidential Medal of Freedom, by Breen 3 George Bush. Now in her 80s, Lee lives with her sister Louise, abstains all publicity, declines all interview requests, and rarely makes public appearances. As you can see, To Kill a Mockingbird is an accurate depiction of life in the South during the Great Depression and at that time African Americans were still denied many of their basic rights. It acknowledges us more about issues in the time of The Great Depression by giving us details in the book about what life was for them.

Can airlines leave you on ground because you do not produce a credit card? I paid for 2 return QATAR AIRWAYS tickets (Madrid-Doha-Male and back) through a Portuguese banking system muck like ShopSafe by the Bank of America, which generates a temporary, virtual credit card number for a single transction (online purchases) Qatar accepted my payment, issued the confirmation of the reservation but then refused to let us on board because we did not carry the physical credit card with which the payment was made. I tried to explain to them that there was NO physical credit card and that the payment had been made online through a special system, but that THEY HAD GOT THE MONEY OK (they actually confirmed that they had received the money ... !!!!!!!!) but still refused on grounds that we had not produced the actual credit card. We lost our holidays, the money paid for the resort, and of course, the money of the tickets. I would just like to know if you have ever heard of anything like this and if you have any ideas about what to do now or where to file a complaint (I am in Europe, not in the US). Someone suggested going to the papers, but do you think a story like this would actually have any journalistic interest ? Thank you very much, any input much appreciated Londonhumanista, The fact is that there wasn't anyone else claiming they had paid the tickets of course. Just my husband and myself. I guess what you are saying is that, to make sure they were giving the tickets to the rightful owners ... they left us on ground and flew away with ... 2 empty seats. Smart move ... NOT !
Travelling by Air Canada? Hello i booked a flight with a travel agency in Toronto. He sent me this link to this site: https://www.virtuallythere.com. Where i can check my reservation. Is anyone familar with this site? Since i am travelling to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I have so many connecting flight by Air Canada. First depart from edmonton to Ottawa to Halifax to St Johns to London (Qatar airways) to Doha to Riyadh - 26 Hours in total. Now my question is i am getting this message on top that says : http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/4305/unledkz.jpg. What does that mean? Is travel agency guy faking with me or something? Also with all these connecting flights by Air Canada do i have to transfer my carry-on and checked baggage by myself? Thanks
